Nov 21, 2018  If you happen to work with Excel files where some columns are hidden, you may want to know how to unhide columns in Excel to view all data. In this post I'll share how to show hidden columns using the standard Excel Unhide option, a macro, the Go To Special functionality and Document Inspector. Question: In Microsoft Excel 2011 for Mac, how do I unhide a sheet that has been hidden?

Answer: You can view all of the sheet names as tabs along the bottom of the document. To unhide a sheet, simply right-click on the name of any sheet and select Unhide from the popup menu.

When the Unhide window appears, select the sheet that you wish to unhide. In this example, we've selected Sheet1. Click on the OK button.

Now when you return to your spreadsheet, Sheet1 should be visible.

Ok, I work with spreadsheets other people produce, and they hide columns sometimes. I need to see these.
I tried my usual method, (Excel 2010) ctrl-g, type in A1, and it goes there, offscreen to the left, so to speak.
I then do Home tab -> Format -> Hide and unhide -> Unhide column.
Normally this works, but today it isn't.
Unfortunately, it is columns A-M that are hidden (row 1+ is all fine) so I can't select columns to the left and right and unhide that way. I must use the ctrl-g method.
Any other ideas what could also be hiding the columns? I have tried the scroll bar; it is all the way to the left.
