Step 1: Set Up Your System to Work With the Phidgets
First you need to set up your system to work with the Phidgets, you can find every info on Phidgets web site, section drivers

When your system is ready connect the thermocouples at the 1048, in this tutorial we use a 3109_0 - TPK-01G Bead Probe K-type Thermocouple (-50°C to +450°C).
Connect the red wire to G and the yellow wire to input terminal block (numbered 0 to 3).
You may need to look closely to see the colors where the main insulation is stripped away.
Connect the 1048 to the usb port.

Step 2: Artisan Software
Download and install Artisan software,
Artisan is free for personal and commercial use, multi-platform (Mac, Windows, and Linux),multi-language.
In this tutorial we use the last windows version
Open the zip file, launch the executable and follow the wizard.
When installation is complete, double click on the Artisan icon to start the software
Under Config/Devices select Phidget 1048 as meter, when you start roaster scope, the temperature will read from 1048
Obviously you can set the others parameters as Projection, DeltaET or sampling interval, but this is not the goal of this tutorial.
